Lead Came

Lead came is a more classical technique of adjoining glass. This method involves assembling pieces of cut glass using came (metal sections of lead). The joints where the came meet are then soldered. When all of the glass pieces have been put within came and a border put around the entire work, pieces are cemented, supported and waterproofed as needed by forcing a soft oily cement or mastic between the glass and came.*
